 President

My name is Michael Brooks, or toytrader007 on all the forums and on gamespy

 Position

In real life, I am a bartender at Brads Gold Showclub (a topless showclub in Indianapolis IN)

 Where I Grew Up

I grew up in a small town called Letart WV.  which is about 12 miles from Point Pleasant.  Point Pleasant is where the Kanawa River dumps out into the Ohio.

 Racing

I got introduced to racing by my father.  who took us to races when I was a kid.  Even at an age of 12 or so I was keeping down qualifying times and finishing positions of the heats and features.

Upon my growth into manhood I still loved racing.  I walked three miles in 1981 to get to the EM Club at Fort Jackson SC just to watch the Daytona 500.  Then life sidetracked me from racing all I did was watch on TV. Then one day I stumbled upon a sprint car race on TNN.  I still have some of the early tapes from Devils Bowl and Memphis and of course Knoxville.

I got the fever again and started looking for tracks in my area and found that there was one back of Ashland KY. Then I moved to Lexington KY and one night said OK I'm gone and off to Eldora I went.

The last time that I had been to a sprint car race, the were turning 16's for a quarter mile.  And as I was walking through the parking lot ill never forget that I heard them day that Rocky Hodges had just qualified at 13....  I was on edge and from that day on I've been around it one way or another.

  My Business

Jeff and Mikes

Treasure Chest of Toys

In 1992 I started selling Racing Champions and racing Memoribilia at flea markets for a friend of mine.  Well I took all the money I was making at the time, and buying stock of my own.  I also met one of my best friends Doug doing this.We later became associates.

At the time I was living in Ohio, but when things went south there so to speak I moved to Indianapolis, the racing capitol of the world. It was working in a resteraunt in Pittsboro IN that relly got to know my other friend Jeff.  And in 1999  He and I formed Jeff and Mikes Treasure Chest of Toys specializing in collectable toys of all kinds but focusing on Plastic Models, Hot Wheels,Racing Diecast, and Star Wars.  We currently sell mainly on EBAY as [email protected]
